Walk Reports

Saturday 22nd January, Great Missenden Circular

Good day out with a leisurely lunch at the Cock and Rabbit, The Lee - 3 in our group.

Saturday 26th February, Halesworth Circular

A good day with lunch at the Star Inn, Wenhaston having previously stopped by the church to check out the Doom. With summertime approaching then a longer 18 mile walk via Walberswick should make for an excellent days outing. Sunny with a gentle breeze - 2 in our group.

Saturday 19th March, Folkestone Circular

An exceptionally warm and sunny day for this time of year. Quiet wander through tranquil woodland at cliff base before taking a zigzag path to a peaceful clifftop spot for lunch, before our return clifftop walk back into Folkestone - 2 in our group.

Sunday 1st May, Wendover Circular

4 of us; we opted for the Cross Coppice shortcut. Lunch at the excellent community owned Russell Arms, Butlers Cross. Discussed revamped website, suggestion to add a Health and Wellbeing section.

Bank Holiday Thursday 2nd June, Hastings to Rye

Glorious day for this coastal walk. Lunch at the recently re-opened Cove at Fairlight and thereafter onto Rye. 2 of us on this great day out.

Saturday 19th November, Otford Circular

A fine day with sunny spells for this time of year. Relaxed lunch at the The Samuel Palmer, Shoreham prior to our return to Otford - 5 on the walk including one after a 9 year gap.

Friday 23rd December, Robertsbridge Circular

Heavy rain in the morning probably put some off, resulting in just one on this overcast on / off rainy day. Decided to set off on the standard route heading north, then east to Silver Hill, subsequently heading south to Salehurst and into Robertsbridge for lunch at The George Inn, making for a shorter walk - just fine given the conditions.
